Calling the shots

Generally, if there is not enough rapport and you haven't day2ed her yet, never let the girl call the shots. This is what happened to me. I asked my girl to meet up with me and get some drinks and some food. She agreed, texted me this.

"That might be a possibility. I have a tentative appt w my mentor but he always cancles so ill let u know 4 sure later on.

At first this looks good but it's not really. The reason is because she will let me know later on :( I was being a dumb ass and agreed and she ended up not calling me. What I should have done is text her some thing like this:

"Actually, I'm not 100% sure about my schedule either. I'll hit up you after I get off work. Later hun :)"

Now control is in my hand and if I feel like going out, I can always call her. Simple conversational technique yet powerful.
